Docvix PDF — Android application (com.docvix.app)

Last updated: 31 July 2026

The short version. Your documents never leave your device. Every PDF operation — merging, splitting, compressing, scanning, watermarking, password protection, text extraction — runs entirely on your phone or tablet. We operate no servers and cannot see your files. The only exception is advertising, described below.

Who we are

Docvix PDF is developed and published by Docvix ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy, contact rahulsingh4041@gmail.com.

Information the app handles

Your documents and images

PDFs and images you open, scan or create are processed locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party, never analysed or read by us, and are stored only in the app's own storage folder plus wherever you choose to export or share them. Deleting a file in the app, or uninstalling the app, removes the copies Docvix created.

Camera

If you use the document scanner, the app asks for camera permission. Camera frames are used only to produce the scan you asked for and are processed on the device. Docvix does not record video or audio and does not upload images.

App settings

Your theme, language, compression preference and the list of recently used files are stored locally using standard Android preference storage. That list contains file names and paths only — never file contents — and is never transmitted.

Advertising

Docvix shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To do this, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:

This data is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, not by us. We never send your documents, file names or file contents to Google or to any ad network.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Where required by the GDPR and the ePrivacy directive, the app shows Google's User Messaging Platform consent form and asks whether you agree to personalised advertising. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the options the form provides. If you decline you will still see ads, but non-personalised ones.

Analytics and crash reporting

Docvix includes no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. Google Play may provide us with aggregate, anonymous statistics (installs, crashes, ANRs) through the Play Console; we receive no personal information that way.

Purchases

Any premium upgrade is processed by Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details.

Information we collect ourselves

None. We operate no servers, no accounts, no logins and no user database. We cannot identify you.

Permissions the app requests

PermissionWhy
CameraOnly when you use the document scanner.
Internet / network stateOnly to load ads. PDF processing never uses the network.
Advertising IDUsed by Google AdMob to serve ads.

Docvix does not request contacts, precise location, microphone, SMS or storage permissions. It uses the system document picker and its own app-scoped folder.

Children

Docvix is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the advertising SDK, contact us and we will help you raise it with Google.

Your rights and choices

Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to export or delete. For advertising data held by Google, you can:

To remove everything Docvix stores, delete files from the Files tab or uninstall the app.

Data security

Because your documents are never transmitted, they are protected by your device's own security — screen lock and Android's app sandbox. Files you password-protect with Docvix are encrypted with AES-256. Any data sent by the advertising SDK travels over HTTPS.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and publish the revised version at this same address, and note significant changes in the app's release notes.
